Kyle Cooper Named President of the Police Board

This afternoon the City Council approved the appointment of Kyle Cooper to the Chicago Police Board, and Mayor Brandon Johnson designated him president of the Board.

President Cooper succeeds Ghian Foreman, who joined the Board in 2010 and has served as president since 2018.

“I am honored and excited to serve in this important position and look forward to continuing the crucial work the Board does to strengthen trust, transparency, and accountability between the Chicago Police Department and the communities it serves,” stated President Cooper. “I also want to thank President Foreman for his years of dedicated service to the City of Chicago and look forward to building on his legacy.”
