A $5.6 million project to replace the roof and repair masonry at McCutcheon Elementary School in Uptown will be partly financed through Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance approved by City Council today.

The $3.4 million in TIF funds will also help pay for the repair of interior finishes damaged by water infiltration. Chicago Public Schools will cover the balance of project costs.

Named for American cartoonist John T. McCutcheon and located at 4865 N. Sheridan Road, the school serves approximately 300 students in grades PK through 8.
