Chicago Plan Commission virtual meeting protocols

Virtual meetings of the Chicago Plan Commission, when necessary, are administered according to the below rules and protocols.

A summary of the public comment portion is available below:

  • Written statements are the preferred method of public comment and are accepted up to 24 hours in advance of the meeting at CPC@cityofchicago.org. Statements will be posted online for public review prior to the start of each meeting.
  • Members of the public wishing to speak are asked to please submit a speaking request form. The department would like to collect the forms by 10 a.m. the Tuesday preceding the meeting. Forms should be sent to CPC@cityofchicago.org.
  • Additionally, members of the public wishing to speak can join the Zoom webinar at the link provided on this webpage. The Chair will invite those waiting to speak to raise their hands at the appropriate time during the public comment period near the beginning of the meeting. Public speakers should clearly identify themselves prior to providing their comments.
  • Verbal statements for all agenda items take place at the beginning of each meeting, versus after each presentation.
